Efficiency & Cost Effectiveness
Transportation Assets such as licensed packages, overpacks, thermal protection devices, flatrack sea containers, special ISO containers, cylinder cradles, and others are being utilized and transported throughout the world by service providers to the nuclear industry. In most cases these assets are owned by the industry participant and in some cases the transporter or service provider owns them.
TAM has recognized a need in the nuclear industry to provide for more efficient utilization and handling of transportation assets with the goal of improved safety and quality as well as cost savings to the nuclear industry participants.
TAM has been founded as an independent service provider to nuclear industry participants who wish to share the utilization and handling of their transportation assets without sharing of any sensitive information. TAM acts as the independent overseer on the behalf of the consortium of users/owners for each type of asset. TAM provides the liaison, tracking, positioning, handling and maintenance of these assets.
Improving the efficiency of utilization and handling of transportation assets owned within the nuclear industry by using its expertise as well as the support of latest technology asset tracking software is our goal. Independently organizing the co-operation between companies who do not traditionally co-operate and even who are competitors in the actual products they produce will provide significant benefits to the nuclear industry including improvements in efficiency, safety and costs.
